Dear TACCI Members & Supporters:
July was quite a busy month for TACCI however normally it's one of the slowest ones.
TACCI President and several chamber executives & members attended the Fancy Food Show in Washington DC, between July 10 - 12. This event once again gathered dozens of Turkish food manufacturers which will flied out specially for this event.
TACCI received a delegation representing Manisa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who were in the US for the Fancy Food Fair as well. The chamber representatives had the chance to discuss the current trade relations between Manisa region of Turkey and the US.
TACCI also co-hosted a networking event along with Greenwich Village-Chelsea Chamber of Commerce (GVCCC), Russian and Chinese Chambers. The event gathered more than 100 participants and created some new business connections. You can read about this event in our newsletter.
Finally, TACCI President was once again on Bloomberg TV's Turkish edition, and he informed the viewers about the latest trend between the US-TR trade relations. You can watch the video below.

TACCI Co-Organized a Networking event with Greenwich Village-Chelsea Chamber of Commerce (GVCCC), Russian and Chinese Chambers
|
On Thursday, 21 July, The Greenwich Village -Chelsea Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Traditional Chinese Medicine World Foundation and TACCI, Russian & Chinese Chambers of Commerce hosted an international networking event. This event provided attendees a unique and diverse business-to-business networking opportunity. The event was sponsored by TD Bank, and food and beverage provided by Magnolia Bakery, Di Fioren Marquet Cafe, Pop Chips and City Winery. This was free for members of the GVCCC as well as members of TACCI, Russian and Chinese Chambers of Commerce and it gathered more than 100 attendees. Many TACCI members were also among the attendees and they all enjoyed the nice evening.

61th Anniversary of the Start of Korean War
| | The Turkish American community was invited to attend the 61th Anniversary of the Start of Korean War to pay homage to the Turkish soldier's and those military and civilians who served the United Nations . The ceremony was held at the Korean War memorial at Armed Forces Plaza on Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge Long Island, NY.
The Honorable Young- mok Kim Ambassador/Consul General of the Republic of Korea, attend the ceremony and said "Turkey is a very special country to our Korean people . Even thought it may be located far away from Korea, it is the country like a neighboring friend . Turkey and Korea are blood -tied alliance which fought to keep liberal democracy and peace half a century ago". He continued and said "the Korean people will never forget Turkeys valuable sacrifice and devotion, Korean people would not have freedom, peace and prosperity today without Turkeys help".
We on behalf of Ergun Kirlikovali President of Assembly of Turkish American Association- ATAA expressed our communities sentiments of our cordial greetings , best wishes and brotherly affection to all the Korean and American -Korean War Veterans. In our message We said that " The history of our respective nations has been written with the blood of our sons and daughters in Korea who gave their young lives and who never returned to the embrace of their loved ones". In our message we also said "That there can be no stronger bond between peoples and nations, than the mutual sacrifices of young men who fought and died side- by side on the bloody battle fields of Korea".
The ceremony was also attend by Vice Consul General of the Republic of Turkey to New York the Honorable Umit Alpaslan Kilinc and the Turkish Military Advisor to the United Nations The Honorable Colonel Savas Celepoglu and Turkish American Chamber of Commerce & Industry (TACCI) President Celal Secilmis who all assisted me in placing a wreath sponsored by FenerbahceUSA and its President Tugya Kadioglu in remembering and honoring our Turkish soldiers and the ones who never returned from Korea at the Korean War Veterans Monument .

| Wall Street's Bowling Green Park was the home to 10th Annual Turkish and US Flag raising ceremony on May 26 at 11.30 am.
The ceremony which kicked off the Turkish Parade that will take place on May 28, was held right next to the Raging Bull statue which is the iconic symbol of the Wall St. area.
The ceremony was sponsored by Turkish American Chamber of Commerce and Industry and it was coordinated by Mr. Ibrahim Kurtulus, member of the Bowling Green Association. Among the participants were Turkish Consul General in NY, H.E. Mehmet Samsar, TACCI President Mr. Celal Secilmis and Vice President Ms. Sevil Ozisik, TACCI Board Members Mr. Ridvan Sezer, Mr. Aliriza Dogan, Mr. Cumhur Guven Tasbasi (Head of Culture and Tourism Promotion Department), Mr. Serhat Aksen (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Head of Department of Americas), Consul General of Uzbekistan Dr. Durbek Amanov, Mr. Kaya Boztepe (TADF President), Turkish Cultural Center NY Region President Mr. Zafer Akın and many Turkish Americans.

A Folk Dance group from Izmir's Dokuz Eylul University performed various Turkish folk dances to the international audience on the street with hundreds of enthusiastic people.

MTS Tour de New York was a 21 mile (34 km) ride starting in Central Park West going over the Brooklyn Bridge, where we had a pit stop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to "re-fuel". We rode 6th avenue back up to Central park, in the midst off New York traffic and aggressive yellow cabs. The tour was a great success, everyone was able to complete and showed great sportsmanship. NETCAD WAS AT THE MUNICIPAL FAIR IN SARAJEVO
Netcad and Arnavutkoy Municipality have joined to the '1st International Municipal Fair' held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.In full corporation with Arnavutkoy Municipality, Netcad's International Sales Professional and TACCI Young Executive Member Mr. Kemal Duru has fulfilled the presentation of Netcad solutions designed for the municipal needs and requirements.
During the International Municipal Fair, Netcad and Gauss (Netcad's reputable partner from Bosnia Herzegovina) have found the chance of being in close touch with the local authorities and get their opinions regarding the kind of system they are looking for.
